10 Reasons to Choose Us

1. Touratech is all about motorcycle adventures

We dare say that there is no other company with as much experience of travelling by motorcycle as Touratech. We work daily with motorcycles and products that must meet the demands of all roads in the world. Over the years, this has provided us with a vast experience in travelling, accessories and riding techniques. We simply know what works out there and what doesn’t.

2. Experience from Adventure Days

We have organised the event Adventure Days in Säfsen since 2009. The experience gathered during these years, with more than a thousand participants in basic gravel riding courses, has given us a very good idea of what Scandinavian adventure motorcyclists want. If you have taken the initial training at Adventure Days, you have scratched the surface, and know how much two whole days with constant feedback from our instructors gives, in terms of balance, control and confidence.

3. Official BMW Motorcycle Offroad Training Centre

We are an official BMW Motorcycle Training Centre. This means that we have the support from BMW Motorrad in everything from the training of instructors to technical knowledge and motorcycles.

4. Certified BMW Motorcycle Offroad Training Centre

Our cheif instructor is one of few IIA-trained instructors (BMW Motorrad International Academy Instructor). To qualify, the BMW Motorrad instructor is required to have a vast experience in riding a motorcycle and an excellent riding technique as well as good teaching skills and the ability to see what each individual participant needs. Wherever in the world you choose to implement a certified BMW Motorrad education, you can be sure that you receive the best possible training, tailored specifically for you.

5. Always the newest BMW GS models

We always have at least 30 new BMW GS models available at the school, from the smaller F700GS to the newest R1200GS & R1200GS Adventure. If you are looking to buy a new bike and wish to test ride the newest GS models in an authentic environment, there is no better opportunity than this! You are also more than welcome to conduct the training on your own bike, regardless of the brand and model. It should however be an offroad/adventure model, it must be taxed and insured, and have the tires and silencers that are legal for public roads.

6. Experienced instructors

Our instructors are hand picked for their unique experiences in gravel riding, traveling, adventure and motorcycles. In addition to many years of riding experience, all instructors are trained at BMW Motorrad in Germany, and by our cheif instructor in Sweden. Together we have travelled with a motorcycle in more than 50 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, North America and Australia. We are, however, not race riders, but gravel riders with a vast experience and a fiery passion for motorcycles.

7. Always two instructors

All our training programs are accompanied by at least two active instructors, often three. This lets us to divide the party into smaller groups according to skill level, to ensure personalized level of education for everyone. This is also necessary to not have to interrupt the training, if something unexpected happens, such as a motorcycle breaking down.

8. First aid educated instructors

We are focusing a lot on the safety on our tours and trainings, but if something should happen, you can always rely on professional help. All our instructors are thoroughly educated in first aid with focus on motorcycle accidents. We are also educated in CPR; reviving the heart and lungs, with and without a defibrillator. Our support vehicle is always outfitted with a complete set of first aid equipment and a satellite phone (if an accident should happen out of reach of mobile network reception).

9. All you need is a motorcycle license

Are you wondering whether adventure riding is for you? Then this is the right place for you. You may choose to use one of our motorcycles and the only thing you need to participate in our courses, is a motorbike licence for heavy motorcycles and personal ridning gear (also available for hire).

10. Scratches and scuffs are included

All our motorcycles are fully insured and in the case of an accident, the excess charge is a maximum of 10.000 SEK. This only applies if the participant causes an accident/damage that demands repair. Smaller scratches or scuffs caused by dropping over the motorcycle during practice are usually not charged.
